When I pray a fear comes over me that someone is going to get me. I have thoughts of being tortured or murdered. I know these thoughts are irrational, but it lessens my prayer life cause I just don't want to have these scary thoughts. I really BELIEVE that if I keep praying like I do, that someone is gonna get me. I don't know how to describe how I feel, but it feels like I'm being drug down when I start prayer. Any advice? Anyone think their gonna die?

RRY11...I am sooo sorry that you feel something bad is going to happen to you when you pray!!!
Satan does not want you to pray RRY11, so, I am sure this is why you feel this way!!! He is the "author of confusion" and he places these scary thoughts in your mind to try and stop you from praying...Trust me on this one, okay???
Prayer is our weapon against the enemy, therefore, he gets sooo angry when we kneel to pray!!! He knows that when we pray that Jesus will hear and answer and he tries his best to stop God's children from praying to Him!!!
Trust me, this is not God doing this to you!!! It is the enemy!!!
When you realize that Satan is a liar, and the truth cannot be found in his mouth, then, you can confidently pray knowing that Jesus Christ who lives within you is soooo much stronger than Satan and you have nothing to fear, since, Satan is attacking your mind because he does not want you to pray!!!
I strongly suggest that because of these attacks of Satan, that you pray even more!!!
Never believe the lies of the enemy!!! He is sooo angry at God's children, but, he cannot touch one hair on our heads...Isn't that awesome!!!
The more you pray, then, you will find that these feelings will disappear because this shows Satan that you know he is a liar and the father of them!!!
The Bible says that the earnest fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much, so, do not believe the lies of the enemy for one moment!!!
May God Richly Bless You Is My Prayer!!!

no, its not god doing this to you, i agree,it was told to me when i was young, when your close too victory the devil will try his hardest too pull you away from it.it sounds like because your helping yourself with this program, and possibly doing well with it.your having too fight off demons, this i relate too,i fight them every day, yesterday was particularly bad for me.but this time i didnt accuse god like ive always done befor, you know, the why me syndrome.i didnt punch walls or throw things or treat my wife badly, like i usually do,but what i did was give god permission too handle it,and although it took a night, and most of this morning, it passed, you see were all close too victory over our mental disorders, just remember that, its not god trying too pull you away, he is pulling you to victory, were all pulling for each other too victory.god bless you.

Prayer is strong. It is a very productive tool. Just as a hammer or crane prayer is powerful. Knowing that the Lord Almighty is who you are praying to and feeling the compassion and healing can be misinterpreted as how you may feel because it is unwavering strength that is working for you if you allow it to by believing that the changes in your life are coming for the good and that your prayer is in effect. Just like drug addict going through rehab is facing those withdrawal symptoms so prayer that is effective is putting you through a transition depending on your prayer contents and true heart askings.
No matter what you must really BELIEVE that that someone coming to get you is the one you are praying to and there is nothing to fear.

MOM of 6:
Thank You so much for saying this. I'm crying right now and I don't know if they are tears of joy or sadness, probably both. My prayer means so much to me, but I suffer with fear and wordly thoughts (bad things happening in the world) Your post was really beautiful. Also to the rest who replied to this post. Thank You very much.

I have been praying for the Lord's approval to start Lucinda's program which I have had since November of last year! I have read that we are to totally rely on the Lord for all of our needs and I feel I am not trusting in Him to help with my anxiety if I rely on Lucinda's CD's. I didn't even think that it could be Satan causing me doubt and confusion as to what to do. Thanks to Ms T. Bone, Robin and Robert for your helpful words to RRY11 because it helped me!!

Kathleen:
I have the same exact problem. I can't relax with the CD's cause I feel I should be praying instead. I feel guilty thinking I should be depending on God for my health and healing.
Well, I got past it and I'm on session 9, but at another standstill. I can really relate to what you are going thru, I try and remember that GOD wants you to try and help yourself always.

I used to feel that way too RRLY11,however as you pray you can sometimes open your eyes and just pour your heart out to the Father. He knows everything and I think you will feel a lot more ease praying to HIM with open eyes.He loves you and understands and will help you fight past the fear! God bless you!

RRLY11 and Kathleen,
I am soooo sorry that the two of you are sooo scared of these things!!!
I finished the program nearly 7 years ago, and I knelt and prayed before ordering the program!!!
I remember asking Jesus if is was okay to take the program, since, I felt like I was failing Him by turning to the program!!!
I heard His "small soft still voice" and He asked me, if I trusted in Him or the program more?" I said, "Lord Thou Knowest!"
I felt like He blessed me with the program!!! I knew that with His blessings upon the program, then, I could overcome the agoraphobia, panic attacks and depression, which I had suffered from for 21 years of my life!!!
I am a firm believer in praying before doing anything!!! To me, the program was a gift from God, Himself!!!
I had prayed for all of those years for healing from agoraphobia and panic attacks!!!
God blessed me with the program!!! I thank Him for that and every other good thing, He does for me daily!!!
God is good!!! He does not want us to suffer in any way!!! He said that it was His will that we prosper and be in good health!!!
God has not given us a Spirit of Fear, but, of love and a sound mind!!!
I looked that word "sound" up in the dictionary, once, and it said (healthy)!!!
When doing the program, make sure to acknowledge God in it and ask that He bless it to help you!!!
The Holy Bible is full of promises from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!!
We must look to HIM for guidance in all things!!!
He will not leave us in ignorance!!!
Make sure to put God first in all things and trust in Him to bring you peace of mind, prosperity and good health!!!
I pray this further helped to answer your questions!!! God Bless Each of You is My Prayer!!!
BTW: I give God all of the credit for my healing, since, I know that I can do nothing on my own!!! I depend upon HIM for everything!!!
If I had truly understood the Word of God at that particular time in my life, then, I do NOT believe for one second that I would have needed any program!!!
The HOLY BIBLE does have each and every answer we need right there in front of us, but, we must understand what we are reading!!!
We must ask Jesus for "enlightenment" as we study HIS Word!!!
Of course, this is a process!!! We grow in these things...Amen and Amen!!!
In the meantime, keep your eyes focused on Jesus and He will bless you to overcome these things as He did me!!! God Bless!!!
