2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Matthew 6:25
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Here is some incredible teaching on how to find peace in the midst of anxious thinking/stress. The pastor who is speaking has been on sabbatical because of stress and anxious body symptoms. You'll appreciate his insights. Coach Chris

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I am a Christian and am SO super comforted by the fact that the very 1st forum I started to read contained Scripture, which is so dear to my sensitive heart. God bless you, coachchris!!

I was actually a little "worried" about whether or not I should re-pursue this program because of my prudent nature with regards to self-help. You see I used to practice New Age stuff until I received Christ and have since made a commitment to honor God with the things I pursue going forward. That being said I have been hesitant as to whether or not I should do this and if I would be going through this program in my own strength. But your post was immensely reassuring to me that I am in the right place :D

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on persevering with the program. Taking thoughts captive and learning to think on truth takes patient practice. Be kind to yourself and remember to drink lots of water, minimize sugar and include moderate exercise.
