Getting Your Own Revelation of El Shaddai

Philippians 3:10 - That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (KJV)

It is vital for every believer to have a personal revelation of God as El Shaddai, our God who will change the course of nature for us if necessary.

Just because you heard about El Shaddai does not mean you "got" it or understood it. Anybody can shout in church with hundreds or even thousands of people standing around them. It is when you get up in front of an obstacle and you can not see your way around it that you need to be able to shout because you have a personal revelation of God as El Shaddai.

Natural law could tell you, "No way!" It is then that you have to have revelation that God is El Shaddai. You have to have the revelation for yourself. And you get that revelation only by getting in the Word and getting to know Him deeper and more intimately.

Remember that Paul said, "That I might know Him." You have to have the attitude, I am going to stay before Him so I can see for myself.

The Book of Revelation talks about angels that fly around and around the throne of God and worship Him. That is why they get to see more sides of God. They stay before Him, around the throne of God.

You have to stay around the throne so you can see more sides of God. If you do not stay around the throne, and you are down at Joe's Bar, you are not going to get a revelation of God. You are going to get a revelation of Joe! If you hang around the phone gossiping with Sally Sue, you are not going to get a revelation of God. You are going to get a revelation of Bad News Sally.

If you want a revelation of God, you are going to have to hang around the throne. How do you hang around the throne? With praise and worship unto God... with glorifying His Name... with praying in the Holy Ghost and with meditating the Word.

Let me tell you what will happen. You will read the Word, and say, "Holy!" You will read something else and say, "Holy!" You will praise God, and you will say, "Holy is the Lord!" And you will see a new facet of God as you have never seen it - as you continue to build on your foundation and not let it slip.

Heres a writing for the almighty.......

El Shaddai is Your Rewarder

Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (KJV)

God is El Shaddai. And that means that He is your rewarder. He will reward you with your heart's desire if you will stand on His Word, believe Him, control your mouth, and praise Him in the middle of what is going on in your life. You have to be willing to shout when you have to shout, run when you have to run, and dance when you have to dance.

I want you to see El Shaddai at a deeper level. Yes, it is true that He is more than enough, but He is the One who reserves the right to do something about natural law.

Doctors may say you can't have a baby, but I know One who can override that natural law.

People might say you are not smart enough, that your brains are "fried. " But I know One who can override that natural law.

People might say there is no way for you to make it, that you are going to have to stand in line for twenty-five years, but you are not ordinary. God does not operate with ordinary. God can cause you to leap over everybody else and get you where you are supposed to go.

So, it is time to praise Elohim the Creator. But it is also time to praise El Shaddai, the One who can reverse and override natural law.

You may be old. The calendar may say you are eighty-nine or even ninety-nine, but you can be like they were in the Scripture. Your eyes can still be sharp. You can still have strength. You can still do the will of God when you believe in El Shaddai. He that comes to God must believe that He is and that He will reward him.

He will reward you if you seek Him diligently, because He is El Shaddai!

Abraham Grew in Faith

Romans 4:20 - He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; (KJV)

Abram did not have an ounce of faith in the beginning. But, you cannot operate beyond the revelation of God that you have. At that time, Abram did not have a revelation of God as El Shaddai. He only had revelation of God as Elohim - Creator.

There are people all over the planet right now - in this day - worshipping God in parishes, synagogues, mosques, and all kinds of places who believe that God is Creator. They believe that God created all things; but having knowledge of God as Creator is not enough. You have to be able to see other facets of God in order to get to the destination God has for you.

In order for Sarai to have a child, a natural law was going to have to be overridden. That was not the job for Elohim. That was the j ob for El Shaddai, the One who suspends nature. So God comes along and says to Abram, "I am El Shaddai. I am the One who reserves the right to reverse natural law. I can override natural law. I can accelerate natural law. And I have the power to constrain nature if I want to. I can override your dead body and Sarai's dead womb."

When Abram first heard that, he did not know what to do with it. God says, "I am El Shaddai. You stand before Me and walk perfect before Me" (Gen. 17:1). Abraham still had trouble with that. Some people today have trouble with that in their own walk with God. Abraham still wanted God to, some way or another, get this deal done in the natural. But Abraham eventually had to come to a place that he would believe that God would do what He said.

Finally, he came to a place where he ignored his dead body and Sarah's dead womb. Then, El Shaddai came and brought Sarah's dead womb to life. And when you become fully persuaded that God will perfo rm His word to you, He will take that which is dead in your life and bring it to life.
