. . . . Some of you might not know that Chris (aka Faith_TX) started a discussion earlier in the General Forum that we thought would be good for this forum. So. . . . Here's Part II.

Chris,

I'm glad you mentioned the folks at New Life--I particularly like Henry Cloud and Steve Arterburn(sp?). Their work (some helpful books, too) on boundaries and discipline is good. And I used to listen to their radio show in the car (when I had one); I loved their sense of humor.

I guess that's why I like Times Square Church stuff, too. They're no nonsense--but they don't take themselves too seriously.

Well, I have a ridiculously busy wk (bankruptcy hearing, yuk). But, I'll try to check in.

I get to do the BK hearing in a couple weeks too. In fact we get to do one for personal and one for our business. Double the pleasure!!

I like New Life a lot. I listen to it at work when I'm doing boring stuff. ;)

well, the bankruptcy is weird. i don't know about you--but i found that i got panicky just thinking about it. it has been the closest i've gotten to panic attacks in awhile.

but, i think after today's hearing, it'll be pretty well resolved. thank God!

about your original post: are you feeling panicky? angry with hubby? angry with God?

Well, I am at a loss about your husband not working. Maybe others have suggestions.

All I can think of is you dealing with you. Also maybe listening to the anger tape--cause anger may be your right, but. . . .

I do have some good CDs from Love Worth Finding Ministries, gifted by a friend. They have a website--with audio--though I just discovered it tonight, so I won't vouch for it. (The message I have on me is #1374--How To Control Your Thought Life--Part 2).

As for my feelings I have had panic attacks, yes. I'm very angry with hubby. Not angry with God at all. He had nothing to do with this. It's my husband that choses to stay home and not work. His standards are too high for what he's willing to do and his pride has cost us dearly.

Now, with him not working, we have pulled 60k out of our 401k money, and only have about 20k left.

As for the tapes I don't have them any more; I sold them on eBay. LOL

I have heard of Love Worth Finding. I'll have to check them out tomorrow while I'm working.

Thanks for listening.

I hope that the bankruptcy solves some of your problems with money. I know that it is hard, but we have to do what we have to do!

Yeah, I wasn't using them at the time and needed the money. I had a really hard time with the relaxation tape so I figured I was better off just using some of the stuff from the workbook and the cards.

well, God has another plan for helpin' ya, then. (the CD program is on sale -- 50% off today -- just so ya know -- not that I'd be able to pull that off myself, right now, truth be told).
