Does anybody have a favorite scripture out of the Bible? When i was a little girl mine was John 3:16. When I got into my twenties The lord gave me this one.
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I hope this will inspire you to seek out a
scripture in the Bible. You know God speaks to us threw his word. it might not always be something we want to here but his words are never in vain. We are his children and he chastiseth(mispelled) the ones he loves. I have to say for myself that when he does, it hurts but after i pray about it...I know that he is right. when I do wrong I'm thankful that my god loves me and cares about me that much, to show me right from wrong.
Anybody that is a parent should be able to relate. That unconditional love...truely amazing!

KarenLeigh, this is a great idea! I love to hear of others favorite passages in the bible. I've shared my favorite one a number of times in other posts, I would be happy to share it again.
"These things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue A SINGLE DAY!" Habakkuk 2:3 LB
I get a sense of calmness out of this scripture. Just reminds me that God is TRULEY in control and that if I just "wait upon the Lord" and have faith, He will pull me through whatever my needs are. He will make things clear for me. Oh what a wonderful God we serve

Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
I've always liked this one, but for awhile there I was doubting it. Then the program came into my life as an answer to prayer, and I believe that I CAN do all things through Christ.

I really like the J. Hagee quote, Robin. I'd never heard this before and am not familiar with him- guess I'll look him up.
Thanks and Blessings to ALL,

Proverbs 3:13-18 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Length of days is in her right hand, in her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her.
This is my absolute fav! It has fallen into my lap on random occasions out of know where! It also fell back into my lap as I was reading a book last year. I felt it was made for me!

"God, I may fall flat on my face; I may fail until I feel old and beaten and done in. Yet Your love for me is changeless. All the music may go out of my life, my private world may shatter to dust. Even so, You will hold me in the palm of Your steady hand. No turn in the affairs of my fractured life can baffle You. Satan with all his braggadocio cannot distract You. Nothing can separate me from Your measureless love -- pain can't, disappointment can't, anguish can't. Yesterday, today, tomorrow can't. The loss of my dearest love can't. Death can't. Life can't. Riots, war, insanity, unidentity, hunger, neurosis, disease -- none of these things nor all of them heaped together can budge the fact that I am dearly loved, completely forgiven, and forever free through Jesus Christ Your beloved Son." -Ruth Harms Calkin
This one is also pretty!!!

Love this quote! Thanks for sharing.
BTW, I picked up a book called "The Story". It is the Bible written in today's english and as a novel. It's a great read!
