Group praying?

Thank you for your kind words! I feel silly asking, but what time do we pray together? I'm Pacific Standard Time, and am not sure if Mountain Time is 2 or 3 hours difference. Thank you.

Thank you Don I appreciate your prayers, for the prayers of a ritious man availeth much. I know my heeling & wholeness is in His plan for my life.Jesus said He did not seek to do His own will but only the will of the Father Who sent Him. John 5;30 and verse 19 "The Son is able to do only what He sees the Father doing. for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way. Jesus went around healing all who were oppressed by the devil. just like He saw His Father doing. He imitated His Father's will and healed people too. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13;8 My healing is comeing. in the mean time I will use my problem to learn all I can about following God's plan, for my life.

Heatherbythesea; The time changes just east of here 20 miles I have lived here all my life and I still have a problem going over that line in to CST I have to think about it all the time or I am early or worse late for an appointment. it changes again on the Utah,Nevada line. My mom lives in P.S.T. She always remebers that I get the sun in MST 1 hour before she does. So it will be 7pm PST. The only silly question is the one you didn't ask, my lawyer told me that.

Today I felt the joy in Believing; Believing is much simpler than doubting. Doubt brings in confusion and often depression. It causes us to speak doubtful and negative things out of our mouths. Believing, on the other hand, releases joy and leaves us free to enjoy life while God is taking care of our circumstances and situations. by Joyce Meyer Jesus replied, This is the work [service] that God asks of you; that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His messenger] - John 6;29 amp

God came through for me today, and the funny thing is He has been planning this day for years. Every day is a good day when I choose God's plan over mine, I can't alwas recognize it as a good day, but I intend to believe it is from now on. Once I heard Chuck Swindoll on the radio coming home from town, he was speaking about how We can't recognise a good day. He told how Abraham got up and took his son up a mountain intending to follow God's request for him to sacrifice his only son. There is no way Abraham recognised that day for all it was worth in the future for us, not in all his life could he have thought that was a good day. but when we Believe that God directs our steps, and nothing in our circomstances is any surprise to God, we can believe every day is a good day, and enjoy our walk throug it with God's rod and his staff to comfort us. I have been choosing to love my life, and today in fact most of this week "I realy do"!!! Thank You Father God for this Good Day, surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow us every Good Day of our lives. Amen

That sounds simple enough, to believe rather than to doubt, yet I have not done it in years. I appreciate you taking your time to write that encouraging quote from Joyce Meyer. I'm going to ponder on that, pray for help doing it, and DO IT! God bless you.

I too watch Joyce whenever I can. I bought some of her tapes and books. She is such an inspiration for us. I am her age and have gone through much. I had someone coming to my house 1 time per week to do bible study. It did not work out. It seemed more like I was given a test on what I was learning. I like to study the bible informal like Joyce teaches it. I have not seen her in a while as much is going on in my life. It is hard to just keep my head above water most of the time. I have big decisions to make and I am not able to make them. I have a son who lives close by but his heart is hard and he has a wife that is mean and abusive to me. I have no one else. Daily I ask God to help me. I have to say I do doubt at times. I am not able to get the fellowship of a church as I have a son who I care for and cannot get to one. This prayer group would be good for me. The people in this group are kind and I could use it as a way to keep connected with God. I know God loves me and has a plan but when things are really tough I do doubt it. Natalie

Heatherbythesea; It is easier said than done to believe rather than to doubt, but it is certainly worth the practice, Jesus sumed up the comandments in one "Love one anoter" that sounds simple but the fact is if you do not love yourself you have no love for others. God sumes up his Word by saying "Only Bleieve" but a life time of negative dumped on your life makes Believing difficult,Please do not get down on yurself if you have truble doing it. Keep practicing and do not give up, My holistic Dr. told me statisticly most people drown 10 feet from shore, they just give up to soon. I know how hard it is to keep Believing when nothing looks like it is working, Jesus does too, that is the great part we do not serve a God who doesn't understand our circomstances. It is the little things in life that show us God is still in controle. He still wants to direct my path, He still wants to help me come to Him, and get my eyes off the problem and on to Him.

I saw Joyce illistrate what it means to turn your eyes apon Jesus, and get your eyes off of your circomstances. She had a guy play God, and a guy play saten. Saten was behind her picking at her, and God was in front of her leading her. Saten was a pest, and she got angry, and turned to deal with Saten, When she turned to saten, she turned away from God and his leading, and gave attention to saten, and she lost heart. She was fighting the darkness without the light. When she was facing God! God watched her back he took care of the problems in His Timing, you know some times He calmes the storme and some times He calmes His child. Only He can see the whole pictur.

I sounds like you have made a concious decission to practice paying attention to God, and letting him handle your circumstances, I have certainly not regretted that decission I am seeing victory in my life, and my circomstances aer changeing. What He has done for others He will do for you.

One more story that helps me stick to it. A morner is going to a funeral of a friend he is a bit late, as he enters the door he notices a dozen angels sitting out side the building. He asks them why aren't you inside helping the morners. They tell him "We han't benn invited". God is a gentlemen, He never goes wear He isn't invited. I Invite Him in to my life all day long. natalie,
the people that are in the group praying are kind and know the feeliong iof others and are they anytime you reach out o them. they and i care of you and what you are going through. sometimes the ones that we need help from are not there for us. so you have to go outside the box to get help. and i know that GOD hears and answers prayers and does alot in here. sometimes his time is not our time..but we carry on regardless...i know that you are going through alot but you are tough and will get through it. he will give you strength to help your son.. i know that you can not go and do the things that you need to do but hang in there and pray and we will do the same. take care and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and MAY GOD BLESS YOU..

Welcome Natalie41 now their are 54 of us praying for each other; Boy do I recognize wear you are, Joyce has ministered to me 6 or 7 years now, I have a library of her books and tapes, my friends barrow them all the time. When I go in to town a 3 hour drive, I play her CD's, I call her a motivational Speaker for the Lord!!

It sounds like you are overwelmed with your circomstances, I have been there too. I had a sick boy disrupt my plans for my life also it realy through me. I used to wake up every mornig not wanting to get up and face another day of it. Now Joy comes in the mornig some days like today my body isn't to ready for the day, but after I say Good Morning to God, and thank Him for another day to serve Him, I can rise with a smile.

Thomas Doubted, Jesus didn't judge him, unworthy, He let him toutch His scars, you know He didn't let the ladys at the toume toutch Him! Do you have an Ebonizer [a jar in wich you put polished river stones, to remind you of each time God shows His love for you] Lucinda suggests a journal, something to help you to Count your blessings, when life overwelmes us we so easlily forget what God has done, and that is what helps us to Believe He will finish what He has started in our lives. You know Him He has called you out, and you are stuck in the miry clay. Come up like the Eagle, and Fly over your life with Him and see a bigger pictuer of a Loving Father, working to help His beloved child, but her doubt keeps her stuck in the problem, Watch for His open window, He is working for you this is a good day! by believing He is working on your behalf You are accepting His help.

Father God; I pray for Wisdom, in your decissions, for "If you lack wiscom ask and it shal be given to you" I pray for Love in your heart, and Joy in your day, finnisheing the day with Peace in your understading that God is in Controle and what ever it looks like, what ever it feels like God is directing your steps. Is this prayer thread for christian prayers only? If not, I would like to pray this Buddhist prayer for everyone because I feel applies to all of us on this board.

May all people plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending one another.
May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wilderness be guarded by beneficial celestials, and may they swiftly attain peace.

For the most part I think we are in majority, Christians on this Tread, but this is The Spirituality Forum, and all are welcome. I doubt very much there is going to be any segragation in Heaven.

Natalie, I am praying for you. You have gone thru a lot and God has continually been there watching you grow thru all this. He's very proud of you and your reward will be great in heaven. Hang in there for answeres and know we are praying.

I have a prayer request. My husband and I are writing an offer this afternoon on a home. If they accept it we need to move quickly to sell our home. When I was in this home tears flowed because it was a combination of my favorite things in all our homes. The price is less and I'm hoping we can get a good price for ours because we're lowering it about $10,000 from what we had it at before. Thank you. Will let you know what's happening.
