Mom just called. Doctors called her to get permission to do a colonoscopy before they take him off of anything. At least she slept some last night. Keep praying. I will let you know what happened when I return from the hospital. Your prayers mean so much.

Colonoscopy was ok but when taking him off the ventilator for an hour or so he had trouble breathing and had to go back on. This was hard on mom plus seeing families grieving cuz there loved ones passed away in that ward. Keep praying. I truly believe he will make it. He's a strong 86 yr. old.

Tanzanite, you're from Wisconsin. Where? It's always great to meet another Wisconsinite.

Yesterday they took Erv (now you can pray by name)off the breathing machine. He was only off an hour or so and got too excited, blood pressure went way up so he's back on. I'll stay home today. Kids are taking mom. Mom is holding up fairly well. He always calls her Dolly. She said, "Honey, this is your Dolly". He opened his eyes and reached out to her. He's got to be getting better.

Thank you all for your prayers they mean so much.

Thanks Don! Before we went to the hospital tonite I was almost in a panic because mom wasn't sure she wanted us to come get her. I asked her if she was afraid something was going to happen. She got choked up. I said, we're coming. My aunt was saying "you know he is 86 yrs old and led a very active life." Well, thanks to you Don and many others I WILL HAVE HOPE!!

My daughter who is in real estate just told me when she went to do a listing for a video store the wife said, "hey, we had prayer at our church this morning for your grandpa." Her husband said, "oh my goodness, that was your grandpa." I'm intrigued with helicopters so I go by the flight for life when it takes off. He said I was praying for your grandpa from the time they loaded him till take off. I skipped the quotes since that's not exact quotes. Anyhow, isn't that awesome??? GOD IS AWESOME. My faith has been wavering especially since people have said when they get pneumonia most of the time people don't make it. I've found out he's on many, many prayer chains and in various churches, you guys are all praying and who knows what the Lord will do here. He's been a great jokester all his life and in their van I found a whole book of handwritten jokes he wrote. Let's pray he will speak more of the Lord than jokes, (not that we don't need laughter) I just pray God will get the glory thru this and Erv will realize what God has done thru people's prayers.
