Cindaylou, So sorry to hear about your husband. O lost my husband a little over a year ago and it is hard, but do as others have said and take baby steps one hour and one day at a time. May you find renewed strength in the Lord and feel His peace over you. God is so good and He will never let you down. He loves you very much and sometimes that is hard to remember when we are going through loss and grief, but remember we are going through, because God is right there with us.
Much love prayers and sympathy,
Mary
Putting your faith in God-
Hi all,
Cindylou, I am so sorry about your loss. Keep your eyes on Jesus and the Hope that sprung for all of us through His selfless act. I want to share something that helped me through something similar because of the loss of my mom, sister and all of my uncles. Please listen to the lyrics in the song "With Hope"
I pray that over time these words will comfort you so much so that you will feel encouraged to know that can keep you beloved husband's memories in your heart, and there you will always have him until you are joined with him once more in heaven.
It is so hard sometimes to accept these these seemingly harsh and bitter tears at this point, and maybe even some anger with God for your loss. As you listen to the words and hear the words we let go with hope that will see their face again serves to be a consolation to you. This I pray with all my heart.
Here is a poem that I wrote concerning this very sense of loss:
http://aie-llc.com/Poems/ourlosses.doc
I wrote this the week of mother's day, because I lost my mom in 1994, but I hold on and keep all the memories we shared deep in my heart. But I also knew that many people suffer the same sense of loss, and I tried to keep this message a little more generic, but it is still special.
I pray that it also give you at least a small sense of comfort and consolation
For both Faith and Cindylou, I also want to share a reading with you from the book of
Psalms 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
What book? The book of life. Which bottle? Your own bottle. God loves us so much that every tear drop you have cried has been collected by His angels and stored in a bottle in heaven. That's how much God cares! He has taken that care. Your every tear drop! He hears you and he is hurt by all of your suffering enough to do that, He wants to show His love, and we are trying to be faithful servants in being here for our brothers and sisters; through the God and Spirit who lives in and through us.
God bless all of you here. My prayers, cares and yes my tears go out to you as you go through this period. I pray that through His love, going out to you from within our very beings, and my expressed desire, that He shorten your sufferings, not for our sakes; but for His precious Son's sake. I ask all these things, from my heart, in Jesus' name. To Him be the glory, honor, and praise!
May God's love, mercy, grace and peace be with all of you always. For His praise, glory and the joy it gives Him.

Cindylou, I'm so sorry for tehe sudden loss of your husband. I lost my dad suddenly to a heart attack, as well, over 20 years ago, so I know exactly how you feel. I will pray for you.

To all my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,
Draw near to God and He shall draw nearer to thee. Amen!
The true book and bread of Life is all there in the written word of God. It is nice to see how God has revealed himself to so many people and the many books written all have that in common. It is the revelation of God to the author. Perhaps some can get a grasp of the author's revelation, but it came from the author drawing nearer to God. In order to draw nearer, it means you are making an effort to seek Him. 2 Tim 3:16, James 4:8
What is the Lord's desire for you? That you learn and know more of Him. 1 Cor. 7:32 I am not so sure that we can experience the revealing power of God through other people's revelation's. I am somewhat sure it is a help, but not so sure that type attention or misplaced glory and praise is really what He wants or for that possibility to exist; unless the author is clear to state that; it is all for His praise and glory.
Romans 1:17
Remember the first commandment? Love the Lord, your God, with all thy heart, soul and mind and strength. Mark 12:29,30 If you do that, you will not place others or things as idols.
How do you show that you love Him? As with any intimate relationship, you must invest of yourself and time on the target of your affection. How can you do that if you spend your time looking for answers every else but in his word? Romans 1:17
I will be truthful to all here and anyone interested. After week 2 session, I had no longer use for this program other than for it gather dust. Because I turned my attention to the Bible, and the Lord took over, He put me through a process that healed me of my affliction. In my case, it was depression. This forum is a mission field. To that end is why I am here. To serve him that healed me and help, with His help, in anyway I can.
I encourage all that believe in the saving grace of God, through the sacrifice of His sole begotten son, Jesus Christ, to take that closer walk with the Lord. I know several here that are there, and they have been healed by His grace. For the rest of those that do not believe, I encourage you to continue you implementation of this program, and if you are curious, get hold of a bible. You don't even have to buy one, they are freely available with a simple word search on goggle; or go here for language or version translations: http://www.biblegateway.com/
