Just wondering what is the difference between
IBS and Lactose Intolerance? Do they both give you the same symptoms?

I was up last night with gas, bloating, and a
stomach ache. I think it was from what I ate.
This am I took a Zantac and had decaf coffee(which aggravated the gas) and I had diarhrea.
I had chicken florentine stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach and then before bed I had a
cup of skin milk.
THis sounds like lactose intolerance I think.

Not sure about the IBS. I was diagnosed with this years ago but found out later it was actually acid reflux and also my gallbladder. Had the gallbladder removed and went on Zantac twice a day and it subsided. Also stopped all coffee -even decaf- as the coffee was just too acidic. Also figured out that I was eating too fast and was not digesting my food very well. Can't eat when I have any anxiety or I will get the symptoms you described. I found out the Drs will label it IBS when they just don't know what it actually is.

I eat fast too. esp when I am stressing out.
But I really was calm last night so I think it was from the riccotta cheese and spinach(=too
gassy) and then I had a glass of milk before bed.
I had the same thing on another occasion too;
and it also included something I had made with
milk in it. I think it maybe from the milk.
