I have this problem all the time. I have been taking immodium every time I go out so that I don't have to have this problem but by doing that I end up having stomach pains from gas that I guess builds up from not going to the bathroom. It seems that when I eat or drink I automatically get stomach pains and have to run to the bathroom. It is very annoying. I would LOVE to be able to go without the immodium. Is this something that goes away once you start to feel better with your anxiety?

Toni it appears to be working for my gf. She's been doing the TEA forms for over six months and the the past three months she's been a lot less anxious and almost completely symptom free so I think it is worth a try. Her doctor thinks the reduced anxiety is why she's feeling better but it's probably still a little early to tell for sure.

Rep
TEA forms are the CBT thought countering exercise from the book Been there, done that? do this! by Sam Obitz. They are real simple and work great at keeping your anxiety away by getting you to think more objectively not so reactionary.

CBT stands for cognitive behavioral therapy. It's the most effective treatment for anxiety disorders and what Lucinda's program is based on. The TEA form exercise is a thought countering exercise from CBT that works wonders if you dedicate yourself to doing them.
