I have been dealing with an obsessive thought 24/7 about my breathing. It circles around the what if's I just stopped breathing I forget how to breathe type of thing. It is consuming me and scaring the heck out of me. Has anyone had this obsession and how did they get over it? Of course the obsession leaves me anxious all day and causes a panic attack. Please give me some help.

J Kicker,
I actually for the last couple of months have had somethig similar to what you are talking about It started with feeling a weird sensation when I breathed in to feeling like something was stuck in my throat to clearing my throat so many times that it threw me into a full force panic attack. I slowly found things that have almost cured it completly. I would first move from the area and get some fresh air. Then I would comfort myself with the thought that no one that feels these sensations has ever died of fear and that it will pass. Slowly over time it has gotten better. Each day I may feel a different symptom but I am better handling it. I hope this gives you some help.
