I would appreciate anyone out there that can give me some advice. I had a total hysterectomy a few months back and it triggered my depression/anxiety to come back along with some really bad thoughts that I also had after my first and second child. After talking to my Psychologist we are discovering that these thoughts (harming others or myself) are b/c of the OCD... does anyone out there have these same thoughts? I also read some where that people have sexual thoughts and I DO NOT have those and am afraid of getting them now that I have read that... please tell me that won't happen, that the thoughts I have are the only ones that I will have??? They are bad enough and are finally (God willing) starting to get better with medication.

Hi cg :)

My friend went through the same type of harming others/self OCD thoughts. He also briefly had a sexual thought which he hated because it involved Christ. But it didn't last long. The harming ones were much more scarier, thus bothered him more.

It is good that they are getting better with medication. If meds only do it for you, you are fortunate. My friend was on Zoloft and went through Exposure treatment which is very effective for OCD thoughts but also very rough.

I've included a link to another post I did on scary thoughts. Hope it helps.
