Just wondering if any women on the site have an increase in OCD symptoms before their period? Just had a baby 4 months ago, and now that my cycles have returned, I remember this symptom too well. Any one else?

Yes I do---very much so! I notice the same thing and I noticed after having my son 4 years ago, PMS has worsened. I have actually had blood tests where they have tested my hormones but found that everything was in normal range, accept for my progesterone levels, and I was told that they were slightly below normal, but not bad at all. I am finding more emotional feelings and OCD 2 weeks prior to my cycle, and I want this madness to STOP!

I am going to mention this to my OBGYN again!
~Congrats on your new baby!~

Oh yes I do know that feeling very well. Hormones have a lot to do with our emotions. My son is 16 months old and I really miss that period with no cycle.

YES!!! I was also wondering if anyone else had this problem. My OCD is almost unbearable about a week before my period. It gets a little better the week of but not much. Basically for 2 weeks out of the month I am so out of control of my thoughts and emotions I don't know what to do.
So, you are not alone. We all have so much on common. I also wish I had some words of advice...but I haven't found anything yet. Just know that you are not alone.

This is a very interesting connection. I had an OCD spike that started last week and my cycle is due to start anytime now.
