Does anyone here experince extreme fatigue and flu like symptoms (aches, sore throat) during and after an obsessive episoede? I find these physical symptoms almost unbearable. I have a hard time even standing up I get so fatigued.

I kind of had a apiphany lately about being tired all the time. I am very active and busy and also in pretty good shape. But, I am constantly tired. I recently, Sat., after looking in a book called FEAR by Dr. Liebgold read that the anxiety or obsessive thoughts shoot adrenaline into your system and after any form of adrenaline (primarily the body's response to a bear chasing you and survival not our scary thoughts which we confuse for the bear) your body goes into a recuperation period and fatigue. Well I guess if you are like me, the adrenaline is shooting regularly and hence comes the tiredness and fatigue on a regular basis.

I had this problem last night, and yes it set me into a panic attack almost, well I had the racing heart beat. I also had the dizzy problem at work today (My first day) I know how you are feeling. I went to sleep and I was soo dizzy that I couldn't stand back up. It was scary but I think I made it worse. Today I talked myself out of it happening to me again after I came home early from work, plus I felt like I was getting the flu because I felt real nauseas. I beleive that it is what I was thinking before this all happened that made me do this. I once stayed in that panic feeling for one week and almost lost my job because of it. I now know that I am not the only one that has felt like that. You could also possibly have an ear infection. I hope this helps you!

Be blessed

I agree with Normalcy. I have had extreme fatigue aches and chills after a bad anxiety attack brought on by obsessing. Now that I thin about it sometimes I do have a bit of a sore throat at night after a really bad day. Some peple react this way when they really worn out. Morning ecersize and taking immunity inhancing vitamins have really helped me. Vitamin C and the B vitamins help us keep up our stamina. I really like whitetea for a sore throat. Most of all don't let these symptoms scare you. Your body is just tired from all of the stress. Cepacol is a good throat spary to keep on hand. I work in a pharmacy. It is completely safe and used to soath the throat.
I hope this helps. Jan
