Hi,I've finally found what I've been searching for;a place where I can talk to people who can relate to me.Depression can be a lonley, frightening place.Only those who've experianced it can truely understand what it's like..Finding this makes me feel not so all alone.I look forward to receiving and giving encouragement to others.

Hi l[z,
Welcome. I will try this again. I forgot to select all and copy before posting and off into hyper-space it went.
I found some other support groups with my heath insurance provider. Here are 2:
<A HREF="

<A HREF="
http://www.recovery-inc.org" TARGET=_blank>http://www.recovery-inc.org</A>
Here is a great place to learn more about depression and treatments approaches and is my first stop when checking any thing having to do with treatment, medication, supplements, natural remedies their side effects, contra-indications, cautionary notes, etc

I have seen far too many people here, go off into a panic because they are not informed about medication and treatment.
I have posted this link at least 100 times, but that doesn't seem to be getting through to many people. I guess I just have to keep doing what I am doing to help. I think it may have to do with the constant stream of new people finding this forum and yet others that, visit, leave and do not return for quite some time later. So I guess I will just have to keep doing my part.
If you find that you need someone right away, you might want to visit the chat rooms where there are always a few people there to help and chat with you.
I hope this has all been helpful to you. Again welcome and I look forward to reading your posts and progress as you go through the program, follow the guides and learn how to develop your arsenal of weapons and how to use them. You have to work the program otherwise the program will not work for you. There is no silver bullet. There is you, the skills you will learn and the support and encouragement from your peers, but then again that is a lot going for you.
I am not going to forget this time

I'm afraid(surprised)?that I'll have to request that you bear with me as I fumble around on this computer trying to navagate and such.I'm green. Not real familiar with the lingo or much of anything. This computer business is fairly new ground to me.I may even have to ask some silly questions.Anyway,I want to thank you for the warm welcome to this forum, group gang, not sure how to word it, but I think you get the drift.
Big thank-you

to be sure, it is okay to be green, I sure was when I started posting on this forum. I remember the anxiety I had with my first few posts. I kept wondering if I would say something dumb, or look incompetent. After 30 some posts I feel much more comfortable reading and posting, gets much easier with some practice, like anything. The great thing about this forum is you can be yourself, the person you really are and don't show too much to others. Here you will be accepted and liked just because you made the effort to reach out and share yourself. I've found that I feel so much more connected to people by being involved in this forum, we're just a bunch of anxious, depressed, lonely people who really want to get healthy and well. Here on this forum are the people who really understand, can truly empathize because we have common difficulties. Keep reading and posting!!

Take care.
