Stress Center Peer Support

Hi there,

Does anyone have trouble believing the compliments we are told to tell ourselves? If someone else gives me a compliment I can take it in, but when I give myself a compliment it does nothing for me. It's just words. Any advice on how to get past this? Thanks.

Yes, I understand exactly where you're coming from. Like everything, it takes practice and practice. Did I mention practice??
I know this is an old thread. But its reinforcing it into my mind too
