Negative/Positive Thought Replacement I Used This Week

I was in the grocery store, shopping, practicing being in public, getting anxious, and then angry that I was anxious about being in public. As I recall, the situation continued on:
Negative Thought(s): This is so stupid! Why am I anxious right now? NO ONE is looking at me, they're all shopping. I can't believe I even got anxious over this, now I'm angry.
From that point, I envisioned myself getting so angry that I got a little grey cloud above my head, like in the Peanuts cartoons...at which point I actually started laughing out loud! It just came out...after another woman, cart in tow, pulled onto my aisle. So I smiled at her, and we both started laughing- at nothing, really. The old me would have been mortified by this situation, but now I think it's hilarious. What would I do if I caught a stranger laughing alone on a grocery aisle? Well, I'd join in, too.
