Wow, I am finishing up Session 3 and cannot believe how much negative thinking I do. Anybody else surprised by their own tracking? I always thought I was a positive person until I started writing down my negative thoughts and I realize I really beat myself up, do a ton of what-ifs, etc. I have been writing positive responses to counter my negative and have made an effort to be positive, but this is hard.

Keep working at it, by saying it's hard, may as well mark that one down as another negative, you are not a victim, keep going, you're fine!

I was also surprised by how many of my thoughts are negative. Its actually kind of scary to realize whats been going on in my head. No wonder I'm freaked out most of the time!! It's been kind of cool to learn how to give myself some comforting thoughts rather than only scary ones. It will be interesting to see how i feel once I'm further along with the lessons!

pinkeetoz and smartestgirl, thanks for your replies. pinkeetoz, I caught the negative, too, after I read the post. I'm getting better and better about turning it around.

I was surprised as well. I always saying to myself that I felt sick and didn't want to be at work etc etc and never realized how much I said it. It's def. a tough thing to do but I think it really help. I also am about to begin session 4 but feel like I haven't accomplised my negative thinking. But this is going to be a gradual process and I need to remember it's not a quick fix and it's going to take a lot of work.
