I just started the program this is my second week. At this moment I been working with my therpyst and working this program. Recently I've been having trouble sleeping. Scared I'm going to die and I hear every little noise does any one have any suggestions to help me sleep.

Thanks ASJ

Hi there :)
That was my worst issue beside heart palpitations. I had so much anxiety about not sleeping that some nights I didn't. Trust me when I say the moment you surrender to the fact that no one ever dies from lack of sleep and you will sleep as much as you need. I know how difficult this is but when it;s time to un wind for bed...just say... you know what if I sleep I sleep.... If I don't...oh well... no one dies from lack of sleep! You'll be amazed how well this works. Just lay there listening to some relaxation, read, watch t.v....... and try to surrender to it Say.... ok... tonight who cares.... watch.... you will be sleeping in no time! I pray this helps. God bless.. Laura

Just fyi, there's an article just after Session 3 in the guidebook (p. 3-16) about sleeping problems.

Another FYI

The StressCenter.com has a sort of sleep study series. I guess it involves journaling and another tape series and I have heard it helps . I don't have that problem since I take my anti-depressants and bedtime and they make me groggy a little , and I listen to the relaxation CD while I unwind. I also read some affirmations before bed and some scriptures .
Take care and it will get better in time.
