I'm pretty sure the hard to breath thing is just part of anxiety and panic, and it's very scary. When i would get anxiety while driving, i would call my friend to talk to me while i made it home, I would keep telling her that i couldn't breathe, and she would say of course you can breathe Rhonda, your talking aren't you! Hope you feel better soon

This is just anxiety, Rosalie. A good exercise to help alleviate this is to lay on the floor on one side of your body. Bring your rear up to a wall. Swing yourself onto your back and slide your legs up the wall. Bring your arms down to the sides and just lay there. Breathe as best you can but don't focus on deep breathing. That will come with you relaxing in this position.

Another good exercise is to lay your upper back over a yoga bolster on the floor. It expands the chest and opens up those tense muscles. You can bring your arms out - whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Legs can be crossed or not.
