Why did I buy a bass boat?

I seem to have a tendency to buy things I really don't need compulsively. I bought a house (which I still have) a long time
ago and it was a little bit like the realtor 'made' me buy it. But I was looking for one because I thought I needed one or
'needed' something. I knew it was sort of a gamble to buy it but I remember thinking at the time that even if I ended
up losing it I would be better off than if I didn't try. I was desperate, I think. I thought maybe a house was the answer
with a garage were I could work out, etc. I thought I would be much more organized in a house and be able to relax
with the garage to work out in and everything would be better. That didn't turn out to be completely the case although
it may have helped me to keep 'getting by'. Then I bought a motorcycle. I thought that would give me something fun
to do and maybe that would be the 'answer'. It has been fun riding it and maybe it has helped me to keep 'getting by'.
When I took out bankruptcy, they didn't take the house, the car, or the bike. Now I refinanced the house and went
and bought a bass boat. I don't even fish, really. Not to mention that I keep driving from Tulsa to Seattle for
something like 2-3 hrs of visitation with my 14 y/o daughter. What's going on?
