Anemic with anxiety and panic attacks

I am profoundly anemic which makes me feel really bad to begin with and that in turn triggers my anxiety and panic attacks. Plus on top of that I have this sinus drainage that is constantly making me feel like I am drowning, which doesn't help with the panic feeling either. I can go to the dr. And get medicine for this stuff but I am one of those people who can't overcome the fear of side affects and taking medicine in general. I have been taking tandem for my iron levels and my wellbutrin, but that is about all I can stand to take. Anything else just seems to kick in panic. Even exercising makes me panicky. I am on session 2 of the program. Don't really know how much help it's been. Any suggestions from anyone on any of this? Thanks.

Hi, welcome! So you are anemic because you don't feel well enough to eat to get nutrition. I've been on Wellbutrin and it is an energizing type of Antidepressant. I've weaned off of it last year and recently weaned off of being on Remeron for a short time period after I experienced my first panic attack. Remeron was given to me I guess because I was having a hard time going back on Zoloft or Wellbutrin. But Remeron makes you tired or sleepy, but not totally because I would need to take my Restoril to counter the Restess Leg Syndrome I was getting from the Remeron or I would say probably any anti-depressant.

I eat protein meals to counter my panicky feelings. Eggs, chicken, tuna, fish, beef, turkey, and I eat very little salt and sugar.
So far I haven't had a panic attack since my first few last May and one in July. That would be a full blown panic attack, not anxiety.
