I have trouble with the relaxation cd I think the breathing part ought to be a little longer because as soon as someone says relax to me I need a little time to calm down Also in the muscle relaxation part I feel she goes a little to quickly and the imagery portion it would be, in my opinion, better if there were quiet sound effects such as birds singing and hearing a little wind and background sound of the waterfalls Is there anyone who might feel the same way? I just started session 3 and I am haveing alot of anxiety because I feel its a little overwhelming. There is so much to remember in sessions 1, 2 and 3. I'm not going to quit though. I figure it will sink in sooner or later. Anyone feeling a little overwhelmed like I am? I just need a little pep talk. Thanks

I thought I would say, Hi to you. I'm waiting for my CDs to come, but I am a bit familiar with relaxation CD though. My latest CD has my old Psychologist voice on it and I'm not so happy with him anymore, so I won't listen to the one he made for me last year. Just hearing him, I think would put more stress on me than none.
So I can't wait for until I can listen to the Program's CDs. There are many relaxation CDs out there that you might try as well. Someone posted a link to a relaxation website that yo can download to your Ipod or Iphone. I don't have one of those items myself like my adult children seem to all have. Due to not needing it, but I might have to look into getting me some apparatus such as these for the future.
My CD player in my car, kitchen, bathroom, LR have always been sufficient for my needs. I hope more will post here for you that have the CDs.

Hi Clhoe11 while I was first reading the postings on the different threads on here, I saw one that had a link to a relaxation website that just carried nice music or other types of relaxation type CD or album that you could listen to while o the computer or download to an Ipod. Now I don't have an I pod, didn't think I would need one, but now I'm thinking that might be something to ask for Christmas or see if I could have one of my children's old one.
Not really sure what to look for, as I've never been one that needed the new tech stuff. I could see an IPOD coming in handy for walking and relaxing in a room where someone else was sleeping or something else. I sometimes didn't want to be distracted by an Ipod while walking because you can't always tell if someone if coming up upon you. I guess that is the Scary part of life that I concern myself with and would like to avoid any extra stressors just as something like that if you know what I mean.

Hi Chloe, I feel some of the same thoughts, this is just my second week, I tried to move a little faster than I should have, I already went through session three, but I'am going to go back and slow down take my time and try to learn the material better. I will get to feeling better for a day and then something or someone comes along and triggers me. I need to just stick with the program as close as possible do all the work and try to start enjoying this forum stuff, I'am new at this blogging!
