I'm almost finished with session 2 and still having anxiety leading to panic attacks, not everyday, it's been maybe once a week and now after starting session 2 I had it for 2 days in a row and of course started freaking out, "oh no, not again". Has this happened to anybody else? Also, does anybody else urinate more frequently with anxiety and panic, I get up 2 to 3 times a night.. Thanks, Debbie

I think what you're going through is VERY normal. Stick with it - you will get there! The program is not magic - it contains ALL the tools you need to beat this, but it does take a conscious effort to apply them. Remember, you have a choice: fuel the fire, or talk to and encourage yourself. YOU are the only one that you need! This is nothing but a bad habit. Hang in there.

John is right. Your goal is to practice "allowing" the feelings of anxiety. When you say, "Oh, no, not again." you are resisting and resistance is what keeps the feelings coming back. This is something you must prove to yourself, Debbie. It's what we all had to prove to ourselves. When you welcome the feelings or accept them or allow them to come and go you are no longer resisting and you will soon see that these anxious feelings pass quickly and often don't develop into anything. They die before that first squirt of adrenalin has a chance to affect you. (By the way, it's just adrenalin when you experience anxiety. Adrenalin can not hurt you. Anxiety cannot hurt you and these are phrases you need to communicate to yourself all the time. You are completely safe, no matter how uncomfortable they feel. That's tape 3.)
Yes, urination and bowel movements are more frequent with anxiety. Perfectly normal with it so when this occurs your body is functioning normally. It's OK. It passes when your anxiety passes.
Good questions. Persevere. You can heal from this.

Thank ya'll so much for your encouragement.
I have had a bad day today. I have had panic attacks all day with fullblown symptoms all day.
I am supposed to go to a social event tonight
so this might be the cause. The relaxation cd helps alot.

Thank you for your help! I am on my last day of session 2. Yesterday was a little better, but feeling a little anxious today, don't know why! I am going to do my relaxation cd and then my session cd. Does anybody have suggestions as if I am doing that correctly, should I be doing the relaxation right before the session? I know there probably isn't a wrong or right way, but just wondering from somebody else's experiences.
Thank you,
Debbie
