Well--changing your breathing should be the first step you take when you feel the anxiety coming on from whatever situation you find yourself in. It says it on your audio c.d, the workbook and the carry along cards. Everything is outlined for you if you follow and pay attenton to the directions. Session 2 is incredible--i was just having major bouts of panic ---which were inevitable being that i avoided alot of things these past few years--AND THE BREATHING REALLY REALLY HELPS WHEN YOU ARE IN THE MIDST OF A PANIC ATTACK. I wish I had someone to tell me to GO THROUGH the panic attack instead of avoiding situations that bring the panic on---because there's no better way to describe it than "one pain drives out another" ---follow those six steps---especially the breathing technique--and then use the positive dialogue to calm yourself down. REMEMBER ALSO TO FLOAT WITH THE ANXIETY--DON'T RUN BUT TELL YOURSELF IT'S GONNA END--HOPE THAT HELPS--GOB BLESS YOU
P.S --LUCINDA ALSO TEACHES US TO ASK OURSELVES WHAT'S REALLY BOTHERING US-TRY TO PINPOINT IT.
