Teens with anger issues

Post by Dixiesmom » Mon Aug 19, 2013 3:08 pm

I have an older teenager that has anger issues. He tends to try to bury or deny things and then he explodes. Does anyone else have a teen with this issue? If so, have you tried anything that has helped them appropriately vent and deal with their problems? I have started counseling, but he seems to think that he has no real problems.

I don’t have a teenager but I have learned something from my friends. I think it is the age when the children don’t want to hear anyone. They just want to do whatever they feel like doing, whether that is good or bad. It this time proper parenting is very important. I think you should try to become his friend, try to understand his thinking and problems. Spend time with him; go out for lunch or dinner it will help you to get closer to him.
