Re: Two months

Hi Lynda! I have been through the program about three times, usually at a slower pace, then I used a mid-west center coach the last time and went at a more diligent speed. :) But I really don't think it matters how fast you are going as long as you are working on your skills! That's great that you a...

Re: Do I really have to keep a journal?

This is really hard for me too. I think the key is to answer them quickly, and to keep doing it - eventually, it will pay off, as your brain starts to believe the positive replacements rather than the negative thoughts. What might help you too is to get underneath the scary "What if?" thought to the...

Re: changing my reactions

That's great! I find I over-react a lot too, especially when I am more hormonal, I tend to think the worst of people and over-react to any negativity, or make something completely up in my head! That's great that you were able to see that process happening in your brain and stop it! It sounds like i...

Re: Anxiety with Scary Obsessive Thought Even For Me

Great job changing your self-talk! I totally understand the sarcasm when speaking to yourself, I think that's really helpful sometimes. I get to that point when I am really obsessive, where I just get angry at the thought! One thing that Lucinda says is that you can never go back, once you have lear...

Re: Fear of going Schizo???? Please help, please!!

Hi there! It sounds like you are just going through a very anxious time. You need to give yourself a break and give yourself some time to relax. What is your daily schedule like right now? Are you doing the program? It's a normal thing to get stressed, even to take it out on other people is normal, ...

Re: Anxiety with Scary Obsessive Thought Even For Me

Great advice Iwillbebetter! I don't know where you are at the with the program, but the obsessive thinking lesson is an AWESOME one to listen to for thoughts like this!!! You are just trying to scare yourself - that's all that this thought is, is an anxious, scary thought! You need to put up a menta...

Re: Is anyone else obsessive over money?

Hi there! I am not obsessive over money, but I do understand the basic thought-pattern that you are having because it is the same as any OCD, anxious thought! The important thing is to practice the skills that the program is teaching you. Eventually, as you practice these more and more, you will be ...

Re: Exercise- A must not an option

Exercise is so key! It's great for you to remind everyone! I know that when I am depressed or blue, it helps me so much to get out and exercise, especially in the sun, than to sit around feeling sorry for myself. As hard as it can be to get out there, the benefits are amazing. Definitely helps to ge...

Re: Anxious Spell

That's right, it's about trusting Him to guide us to where we need to be. :) I just need to constantly remind myself of this. If this guy was His best for me, then I can trust that He would have worked it out somehow. My problem is that I put too much control mentally in my own hands rather than pla...
