Re: Smart watch....anxiety inducing or relief?

Hey Jodilyn. Hey Andy, hey Opie, hey Gomer. Whut? Oh never mind. :P Don't mind me, Jodilyn, I enjoy trying to be funny. Emphasis on try. Why would this happen when I was completely relaxed? I understand if I were doing something active. I don't know. I do know the Program can be effective at counter...

Re: New member

Hi Mike. Sorry for being late in responding. Glad you have found the Program. It's been effective for a lot of people. The Forum isn't as active as it was some years ago, unfortunately. And it looks like there are a lot of visitors but not many members who come to it to read the posts. There's a per...

Re: New to program

Hi, Marg and welcome to the forum. I don't know what to tell you about skipping parts of the Program. And sorry for just now seeing your post. Lesson 3: Self talk, teaches to write down negative thoughts that really bother you. That would include any thoughts that make you feel guilty, cause you to ...

Re: hi

I;ve been away for a while. Getting ready for Christmas pretty much occupied most of my time. Getting out Christmas cards, shampooing the carpets, mowing up all the leaves.

'That's over now. whew! Good luck to all in this New year!

Re: Restarting the Program - Intro

Hi Sara and welcome to the forum. Beating yourself up, did you say? I know they say take one part of the program each week, but Part 3: Self talk is key to getting better. Journaling the negative thoughts, the ones that are really bothering you, is very important. Then looking for the cognitive dist...

Re: food guilt

You're welcome. We are our own worst enemy. We treat ourselves like we would never treat family or friends. Sometimes we may not even be aware of how hard we are being on ourselves. Journaling the thoughts when they come up reveals what we are thinking and if we are being unmerciful on ourself. Some...

Re: Starting over

Hi guys. Life keeps throwing stress at us from all directions, doesn't it? I hope you will take it easy on yourself and be patient and work the program. It really is powerful. Sending good thoughts your way. @Lorikay, WHAT IF I can’t beat it again or at least manage it. Anybody else? This is the "Fo...

Re: Hello

I had a good childhood. My Dad was my Little League baseball coach for about 5 or 6 years. I had loving, understanding parents. Yet, I can identify with those who were abused as children. I have character attributes similar to those adults who grew up in abusive homes. I had panic attacks with clini...

Re: food guilt

Hey Michelle. Be kind and loving to yourself. Recognize the truth, but do be kind and loving to yourself at the same time. I have times when I blow it with what I eat. I don't like it. It doesn't make me happy when I do. I recognize that I have overeaten, forgive myself for the slip up, then keep tr...
