Re: xanax = depression ????

I use xanax only if I'm having a panic attack and can't calm myself down. I take 0.25mg. When I do take it I find that the next day I feel down and sometimes very tearful.

Re: Heart issues, help!!

Some people who have MVP have no symptoms at all and don't have anxiety. Others like me have MVPS (mitral valve prolapse syndrome) which is MVP with dysautonomia. It is estimated that 40% of people with MVP have dysautonomia. Essentially what dysautonomia is is a nervous system that is out of balanc...

Re: MVPS/Dysautonomia

I have MVPS too and hope this program will help me to get rid of the panic attacks and to manage the anxiety. I think the relaxation CD will definitely help to calm my nervous system.

Anxiety being at home alone

I've read a lot about people who are unable to leave their homes as that is their safe place. I seem to have the opposite problem. I become extremely anxious when I am left alone at home all day. I used to cherish my alone time, when my boys were in school and my husband went to work but now I dread...

Re: Second time around!

I'm on my second time around too! I just started the program again today. I went through the program a couple of years ago but didn't do all the workbook exercises or the relaxation CD everyday. This time around I will be more serious about it because I want to be free of the panic attacks.

Thanks CDT. It does help talking about it and helps knowing that I'm not alone. I'm on week 2 of the program and at times I feel hopeless. I know I have to give the program time and I have a lot of work to do. I need to be patient. I agree about the hormones having an effect on our anxiety. I think ...

I'm 40 and my doctor told me last week that I'm in perimenopause. My anxiety started a couple of years ago and I'm convinced that perimenopause is making the anxiety worse. I'm not saying that perimenopause caused my anxiety as I'm a textbook case of someone with anxiety disorder but rather perimeno...

Does any one get muscle twitches with their anxiety. I can be feeling fine and all of a sudden I get these muscle twitches anywhere in my body and it freaks me out and of course starts the what if thinking.

I started the program but prior to receiving it I drastically reduced my sugar intake. The first couple of days I noticed that my moods evened out and I felt very good. It's been about a week now and today I just feel awful. I'm tired, a little more anxious, and feel really down. Some of it may be P...

I'm new here and have ordered the program. I started having anxiety about 2 years ago. I learned some coping techniques and have been able to live a normal life with little to no anxiety. I've recently had a relapse and I find the morning anxiety almost unbearable. I sleep very well at night but wak...
