thanks again samcat....based on your posts and knowledge, it sounds like you know a lot about this disorder...and coping skills to deal with it. can i assume that you went through this program? if so, how long ago, and how are you doing now? would love to hear about your situation. thanks, Raz

hey samcat...i'm on lesson 4 right now. but, i did this program once before about 10 years ago...i think i kinda raced through it then, and have slipped back into my negative self talk, and high expectations which create a lot of anxiety and probs for me. hope that helps, and thanks, keep your thoug...

yes Samcat, that does actually help some, and makes sense....guess we gotta do what we gotta do huh? i know i will feel a huge weight lifted once i do it, just afraid i will run outta the docs with my hair on fire, but i do believe that once it is done, my anxiety will be better. and if they find so...

oh yeah, hospitals really scare me too....it is good to share and know there are others that feel the same.

anyone else in this boat? i would like to go to the doctor for simple check up, just to make sure my symptoms are all manifested by anxiety, but i'm afraid of docs and haven't been to one in YEARS! kinda crazy, but that's what i 'm dealing with, and i'm afraid of meds too...anyone?

thanks Jeremy! it is amazing how many ways stress/anxiety can manifest itself! i liken it to a complex computer virus you are trying to rid your computer of...very crafty! LOL

yes, this is a helpful thread...like the rest of you, i have been having obsessive scary thoughts (suicide, terminal illness, etc) and it helps to see/hear that this is a big part of the anxiety problem...i need to learn to tune them out. any other suggestions?

don't know about everyone else here....but YES..i have the same things going on at times. i have weird symptoms all the time, and your mind/body can REALLY screw with you. i am convinced that anxiety can cause real physical symptoms at times (like your head being hot to touch)...for me, the scariest...
