Re: Give your obsessive scary thoughts a name!!!

This is such a fantastic idea, it has my smiling already. Olga and Polly are my new best friends. I mean my new bullies that I'm going to stand up to! Using "Olga's at it again" or "Olga can you please go home" is going to be a great help.

Re: Just coming back to say I've been doing great! STAY STRO

Hi dlep! I'm 21 and it's really awesome to see someone around my age on this website. I totally feel you on everything and am so happy for you! I feel the same way on a lot of things. I take lamictal and I think it's really helped a lot, especially with the program. I finished it almost a year ago b...

Re: Tinnitus Making Me Anxious

I'm only 21, but I've had ringing in my ears even since I can remember. I find my ringing the loudest at night- which makes it difficult to sleep to say the least. Now I have a fish tank where I can hear the water and that really helps. If that's not enough I'll play some music or watch a movie unti...

Re: how do you deal with thoughts/feelings that won't subsid

Hi lph24! :) Sometimes you can't "catch" the bad thoughts, but that does come in time! Something that I used to do during panic attacks (and still do when I get anxious at all) is think to myself, "What am I feeling?" Usually scared, nervous, hot, shaky. Then I think "Why?" Sometimes I come up with ...

Re: Disagree with what ifs

Hi Theresa, I experienced a lot of that in my life as well. I was thinking to myself, "Wait, these things actually happened.. they're not What If's." Then I talked to my mother, who also went through the program, and she really helped me out. I started saying, "What if- that never happens again? Wha...

Re: Realizing about friendships/social anxiety

Just chiming in to agree with keepsmilin, the "fake it 'til you make it" method surprisingly works for me every time! and I'm horribly stubborn. Makes you realize things. :)
