Re: Two steps foward Four steps back
Good for you! I think it is great that you have made a commitment to get well and take action. That is wonderful. I think taking responsibility for your own well being is a very positive step. This program has given me so much. After listening to just the first CD I believed there was hope for me an...

Re: Feeling like I don't deserve good things to happen...
I can relate to what you describe. To be able to be calm and accepting of the present moment is my ultimate goal. Having something to worry about is a learned habit and so are negative thoughts about myself. I have lived with FEAR and insecurity- in one form or another - my whole life. A book I foun...

Meeting People
Just starting this session today. I have pretty much kept on track -schedule wise- with one session each week. My husband and I went away camping for four days so I am "late" on starting this week. Noticing my anxiety in social gatherings and being around new people is very challenging. It is amazin...

Tactics of the Control Freak---Shameful Communication.
The goal of this controlling behavior is most certainly to manipulate, but also to ally the anxiety of the control freak.

Speaking up
Had an opportunity to be assertive today at work. My first reaction toward the person was anger. I felt they were imposing their opinion on me over some trivial thing at work plus they seem to be "correcting" me - as if they were my superior- which they are not, and I did not like it. I disagreed wi...

Freedom
I am starting session seven today and I feel so good about doing this program. I have been working on all of these issues for years and years, never recognizing my true problem until being introduced to this program. This has been the missing puzzle piece. I have had some crappy attitude days since ...

Re: please need some direction
I think the CD is three separate relaxations sessions, not to be listened to all at once but to be done (if possible) three times a day. Try not to overwhelm yourself and just do what you can each day. I decided this for myself - to just do my best each day and it is okay - I don't have to have ever...

Re: Need Advice or Suggestions
I have to try an calm myself somehow. I find the breathing to work very well. I may have to do it several times an hour. I say the statements after the breathing, I am calm, I am relaxed, I am peaceful. I listen to the relaxation CD. I walk on my treadmill. I'll read something positive. I'll write o...

Re: The WORST mood swings-anger-irritation-annoyed....
another thing that is helpful to me is when it was pointed out to me that ANGER is a CONTROL issue. Do I have to control this? and trusting that ultimately GOD is in control so I don't have to be. I found that I would keep trying to control things and other people that I really had no control of. I ...

Re: The WORST mood swings-anger-irritation-annoyed....
I hear ya girl! It has not been an easy road. I have been where you are and it hurts a lot. I felt so overwhelmed with myself and my problems and my attitude. I just did not give up (even though I felt like it sometimes). Part of my problem I only discovered a couple years ago and that is I was vita...
