Re: insomnia
Thanks for your input, and I agree with doing some distraction, light physical activity. I did try walking for a few days, as i work night shift..but it didn't put my brain to rest when the time came to nap before work. I think a big problem is working the night shift, with no routine work schedule....

Re: How does this help?
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I spend so much time trying to get better, it's actually causing more anxiety when I can't even relax to a relaxation tape, or 2, or 3.It is mentally exhausting. Maybe I can just decide to make anxiety my friend.

insomnia
Its been 3 years since I have been able to sleep more than 3 hours at a time, since a traumatic event. I usually get about 3-4 hours of sleep, leaving me exhausted and anxious most of the time, unable to enjoy anything! I work full time, just always barely hanging in there. I have had to leave 2 job...

Re: Not the wicked stepmother...
You are not the wicked stepmother. I understand that as a teacher you are used to having organization and planning as a ritual. But, when summer comes and there are no absolute schedules, your anxiety will peak. I have learned on my days off, you do have to bend and be there for all of the children....

scary!
Just wondering.. has anyone actually started a new job after not having worked for months, and developed such anxiety you just ran off the job because it was too overwhelming and you couldn't process the information given to you? Or, how about realizing you turned into oncomming traffic with your ch...

Re: How does this help?
Thanks for your reply. I respect what you say and do actually know this. I understand things don't happen magically. Nothing has been working which is why this is my last resort. Nice to know others understand. It makes it 10 times harder with young children who don't understand why they can't do,go...

How does this help?
When you live with constant REAL stressors, as opposed to perceived threats, can this program help? When you live day to day, wonder how you are going to pay your bills or feed the family, Tell me I can learn to sleep at night after spouse losing job, home foreclosure and bankruptcy. Are there any s...
