Re: a thought thats getting to me

Dear Tjzaxxer, Everybody has a purpose, so do you.I don't believe you are darkness and light, I believe you are pure light going through a dark experience. It seems to me like you have a hard life. I'm sorry you are going through this. You said that you have felt like a worthless peace of trash and ...

Re: Waking up unable to breathe

Hi RedsoxGirl77, It totally sounds like anxiety. With me I wake up in the middle of the night and I actually have a feeling that I have been overbreathing. My chest feels like its filled with to much air and I can't really breath right. I used to jump of the bed with panic and anxiety everytime it h...

Re: Sexual Identity/ Friend

Hi Fleury1991, I think you are right. Are there some things in your life that you do not want to deal with? Most time obsessive scary thoughts are a way for us to distract our mind from dealing with something in our life. And when I was on this lesson I was a bit sceptical about it first but what Lu...

Re: New with Constant fear of dying:(

Your story sounds so familiar! After I started having panic attacks I developed a fear dying. Like you I was having obsessive scary thoughts. I would think that at any moment I could drop dead. I was afraid to exercise because I was afraid that my heart would stop. The program has really helped me w...

Re: WAKING UP WITH A PANIC ATTACK AFTER WATCHING A SCARY MOV

Yes watching a scary movie or tv-show can trigger a panic attack. I remember a while ago I was watching a tvshow Grey's Anatomy. I think it was the final episode of a season where someone enters the hospital en start shooting everybody. And that night I woke up wit a panic attack. I also got a dvdbo...

Re: Been in Session 3 & 4 for a few weeks

Hi KC, I remember doing that to but you don't have to do the lessons perfectly. I think Lucinda also says that in one lesson. (can't remember which one) Continue to move every week to another lesson and you will be fine. And lesson 3 is an ongoing lesson. So the replacing negative with positive thou...

Bob o Bingo, It's been a while since lesson 4. At that time I felt: " feeling kinda strange. I don't feel anxious or depressed but it feels kind of a lost feeling" When I look back that "lost feeling" was me adjusting to feeling more peacefull. I had been feeling panicky, scared and anxious for so l...

I have that to.
Sometimes I wake up with heartpalpitations without any panicky feelings in the middle of the night. There is still a part of me that is scared of the symptoms. I guess that's why I'm still getting those palpitations at night.

Excercise has also been a problem for me. One time I had a panic attack while working out. Since then I'm scared to give my all and work out again. I'm still scared of the symptomes. I think that's why I avoid working out. Couple months ago I started cycling 3 times a week. But then had a mini panic...

In the beginning of my anxiety I also had a lot of racing thoughts. It sometimes felt as my head was spinning.
You should replace your negative thoughts with comforting soothing thoughts. In session 3 Lucinda explanes exactly what you should do.
