About 5-1/2 years ago I began to have horrible problems with noise sensitivity, and now it looks as though I might finally have an explanation. Recently I attended the patients and families session of a medical symposium on Neurofibromatosis. During the panel discussion I asked whether the NF lesion...

I don't seem to have a fainting problem, but do have low blood pressure and am prone to orthostatic hypotension. Vigorous physical activity seems to make my blood pressure drop--I can be riding my tricycle and suddenly go light-headed. That's why I don't quite trust myself on a two-wheeler! My prima...

Gee, if I lived in the Mojave I think I'd be worried about rattlers, too--just as if I lived on the edge of a swamp, I'd be worried about cottonmouths (a.k.a. water moccasins). Maybe you seem to be seeing more snakes because you're now unconsciously looking out for them? And of course it is importan...

Here's another I found in a collection called," So Now You Know": After decades of futile pursuit, Wyle E. Coyote finally does catch Beep-Beep the Roadrunner. Then Coyote holds up a sign that says, "OK, you always wanted me to catch him. Now what do I do?"

Here's one I remember from ages ago: A man is out in the country on vacation, and decides he wants to go fishing. He asks a local boy, "How's the fishing around here?" the boy says, "The fishin's great, mister." "Oh, good!" the man says. "What do you catch?" The boy looks at the man and says, "You s...

Hi, NH Cat Lady,

That site for NF is a dot com site, not dot org. I got it confused with the one where I found the article re: NF and sleep disorders.

Hey, NH Cat Lady, How have you been? You may not have seen my posting re: this one in another place on this site, so I'm sending you this. I found an NF-community-oriented web site! It's www.inspire.org, and the posts make interesting reading. The discussion re: se...

Hi,
I don't get visual "snow", but for several years I've noticed blue flashes in my eyes. Some them are in front, some out at the corners of my eyes. I've been told they're optic migraine. Could the "snow" be a similar type of thing?

Hey, everybody, I found this in a web site (www dot healthboards dot com) a few days ago: "If you have severe anxiety, you may be pyroluric." "Pyro", as I call it, is genetic. It makes your body produce excess kryptopyroles, which bind to certain nutrients (primarily vitamin B6 and zinc; it can also...
