Thank you, thank you, all of you!! I'm so glad to read that I'm not alone in procrastinating and hiding away. I've been listening to the session and it's really stressing me! I'm beating myself up for not being the over-achiever they are and who I should be, utterly unable to combat the negative tho...

Hi I've been taking 300 mg effexor and 150 wellbutrin for a while now but was still experiencing moderate depression, so my doctor has switched me off wellbutrin and onto 10 mg cipralex (aka lexapro, I think?). It's only been a week, so these may just be transitional effects, but I'm feeling like an...

Lynn, stop and breathe. It's really hard to think straight and problem-solve when your head is spinning in panic. I agree with Shifrah -- speak with a marriage counsellor. There's a ton of experience out there to be accessed, and someone who has seen a lot of relationships in chaos could be really h...

More balance -- this is great! I agree with Shifrah that marriage isn't a commitment to be disposed of lightly, and it really helps in making a decision of this magnitude to know that it's been considered from a variety of perspectives. Presumably the murderer was truly repentant and resolved to cha...

Hi Lynn Of course you're scared, stressed, confused and conflicted -- this is not a remotely simple or straightforward situation you're in! It also sounds as though you're from a culture that is more male-dominant than the North American culture is typically, so please acknowledge yourself for havin...

Hi Lynn I don't even know you, but I am so proud of you! Just in the space of this thread, you have shifted from miserable, powerless and surrounded by destructive negativity to a place where you are grounded and back in touch with what is truly important to you -- it is so wonderful to hear your co...

Hi peaceandjoy7 I was married for 9 years to a man who sounds very similar to your husband -- it's soul-destroying. Let me put a thought out to you: he will never be happy and he will never see you as good enough. The parts of you and your life that he is unhappy about were the opposite for me in my...

I'm struggling a bit with this as well. Perhaps over-analysing, but it seems to me that there are different categories of expectations: how others should behave towards me, how others should behave towards themselves, and how others should behave towards the world. For the most part, my expectations...

There -- it's done. Meeting organized, and the barrage of negativity wasn't nearly as scathing as I had been anticipating. I feel so very much better, and I got several other things done as well with the clog gone.

Thanks for listening!

I had an aha this morning I thought I'd share... I was beating myself as I woke up this morning for frittering the past 2 days away on useless stuff rather than doing the simple and important thing I need to do, which is to organize a meeting for work. Not a difficult thing, won't take much time to ...
