Is there such a thing?

I'm curious if anyone has taken any anti-depressant or anti-anxiety meds that did NOT zap their libido.

I'm on Celexa and am never in the mood and from what I've read, others feel the same way on their meds too.

Wow, you guys have given me a lot of good input. I was really bothered by what the doc said but I realize that he was taught to "fix" things with medicine. He's an older man and has been prescribing psychiatric medicine for a very long time and is probably stuck in that mindframe. I'm sure to him, n...

Okay, so here's my thought process. My options are: 1. Taper off meds slowly. I wonder if I'm ready though. I haven't finished the program and I feel like my meds are helping me cope with my Dad's cancer. I'm afraid to be off meds when he starts deteriorating and dies. I feel like if I wasn't on med...

My doctor wants to switch my meds from Celexa to Effexor. Celexa works pretty well as far as decreasing my anxiety but it makes me tired and completely zaps my libido.

I've never been on anything but Celexa and I'm afraid the Effexor won't work.

Has anyone switched from Celexa to Effexor?

Me too. In fact, it will be a full 7 years next month.

I was just disappointed that my doctor pretty much said that tapering off wasn't an option. I was like, "Whaaaat?!"

What has been different about the last 6 months? Do you think you'll start taking them again?

I went to my first appointment with a psychiatrist today and this is what he told me. I went there thinking he could give me some advice and encouragement to taper off my meds all together and he told me I'd probably have to always take meds for my anxiety...that I'd never be able to stop taking the...

I successfully resisted the donuts in the kitchen all day. Now they're all gone and I feel great! :)

Do you have an iPod? If so, I would recommend putting the sessions on it and listening to it whenever you have a free minute. I did that and listen to them everytime I'm in the car. I end up listening to each session like 10 times and have found that it really helps! Hang in there. Keep your chin up.
