Re: no desire to live, but fear of death

I feel like there is no importance in life because everything is temporary. I think you hit the nail on the head, Chelsee. Everything is temporary...including our anxiety and depression, as long as you work at it. Dont' give up! Also, I 100% agree with everything NeverQuit said (some REALLY good st...

Re: withdrawal from antidepressants

I am also trying to get off of Celexa right now after over 10 years. I tapered down from 60mg/day to 30mg/day and then decided I just didn't want to deal with it anymore so I stopped all together on Sept. 1st. I was okay for 4 days but then the withdrawal symptoms came on strong: super spacey/dizzy ...

Re: can't break out of this hole!!!

Hi there,
You mentioned you got the program 5 months ago. Have you broken it open yet?

I personally ABSOLUTELY believe that you can change your thoughts...you just have to be willing to work at it and never stop believing.

Re: New here, again.

Hi Jeremy, I too have been meaning to start the program again from the beginning. Just need to get those darn CDs onto my iPod! I wasn't huge on the relaxation CD either so I just started searching for ones I did like....and I found a TON. It doesn't really even have to be a "relaxation" CD exactly....

Goodbye, Celexa. I'm breaking up with you.

I went to my first appointment with a psychiatrist today and this is what he told me. I went there thinking he could give me some advice and encouragement to taper off my meds all together and he told me I'd probably have to always take meds for my anxiety...that I'd never be able to stop taking th...

Re:

Wow, I can't believe this post is still going (I started it years ago!!). Just checking in. At the beginning of this year I was on 60mg of Celexa a day and decided I was ready to get off of these meds once and for all...yes, I actually felt ready (something I never fathomed happening). I'm down to 3...

Re: Got prescribed Citalopram SUPER SCARED

I have been on Celexa for the past decade. It works. However, just like with any medication, there are side effects. My biggest complaint is that along with zapping my anxiety, it also zapped my motivation, creativity, sex drive, feelings, emotions... My anxiety was so bad when I started Celexa that...

Oh yeah, I deal with this big time. It is one of the biggest problems in my life but I'm not sure if it's a side effect from my anxiety meds or just depression. On weekends I'll stay in bed until 2. Then I'll get up and do some easy chore (wash the dishes) then I'll go back to bed. It just seems lik...

I've been taking Celexa for a little over 8 years now and for the last couple of months I've been having sporadic inner ear numbness/tingling in my left ear. Then just now I had a really weird fluttering sort of sound in the same ear for about 10 seconds. I researched it online once and saw a post i...
