Thank you, both of you. I'd first like to say, the concepts that are in this thread are not my own ideas but rather ideas of another but put into my own words and i'm happy to share them with you! That is a very good method to do liberal and it is great that you can do that, as challenging as it sou...

One saturday my kids and I were off to a birthday party. Gifts in hand and all party dressed up we knock on the door. The Mom opens the door, looks at us funny and says "the party is tommorow". OOPPPPS

Providence, you are so not alone in this. I feel like my family has turned on me also, feel like the outcast... I am sure a lot of it is in my head, but nevertheless I feel like it.... I borrowed the program tapes from a friend of mine, I don't have the workbook or relaxation stuff, but I picked up ...

lau_von_c I think that the exercise definitely helps to reduce my anxiety/stress level. It gives me time to clear my head out and to consider whatever is bothering me without having to deal with that issue at that moment. As for the diet, I'm still working on modifying mine, so it's too early for me...

I went to the gym today after work for the first time in about 4 months. I think that the "Eat and Exercise" session helped to get me motivated. I also took a 45-minute walk on Sunday; can't remember when I last did that.
Looks like progress to me.

pearpickinporky,

Dale Carnegie said, "Remember, happiness doesn't depend upon who you are or what you have; it depends solely upon what you think."

So, what are you thinking?

ShyDawn, Like you, I work fulltime, am up at 5 a.m. on weekdays, and was wondering, initially, if this program was for me. Now, I'm just starting Session #5, and I think it's for me. I haven't exactly kept up with the recommended schedule. I'm about a week behind that, but I'm not worrying about it....

Christine, I don't keep a journal. I find it hard to find the time and energy to do everything that the program suggests that we do. I don't want to increase my stress level by trying to "squeeze" everything into my day. Maybe as I proceed with the program, I'll get better at balancing my time so th...

jharmon1, I'm just starting to learn to counter my own negative thoughts by pretending that I 'm talking to a friend, rather than to myself. I use words that I would say to someone else, like, "It doesn't look good right now; maybe it will turn out better than we think." As I practice being encourag...

eager learner,

You've said the right thing, "...no more,..." That's your turning point. You're on the right road, because you have decided to change your life for the better. Me, too. There's a better life awaiting us, and I believe that this program will help us to get there. Good luck!
