to maybe start laughing at some of the things I was so angry about. I like that idea. Before I restarted this program, I thought I was over something and apparently I wasn't. I need to let it go, really, and have started to, but I think if I laugh at it, or look at it in a more compassionate way to...

Re: Should I move onto session 4?

Just wanted to add, in Session 6 they suggest you listen to Session 3 again, I just did. So really, you could listen to it any time you needed. I realized that from Session 6 about being angry, some of that is from the negative self talk. I discovered a lot directed at myself. But anger, seems to me...

Re: Hard to think happy thoughts...

This is an older thread, so I hope you went on to Session 3, which is using compassionate self talk. That will help you get to happy thoughts. It has helped me a lot.

Re: Still have symptoms...

Marci,
Understand about moving in the same old ways of life.
If you want, you might not need to start all over. Just choose a session you think you need and journal. Then if you can, go through the workbook, also. I did that for a while after I finished the course.

Re: guidebook

rosebus, I know this is an old post, but all those things and chaning yourself with this program would make anyone anxious! Plus I think we become more anxious at first because we start to recogonize our anxiety symptons. I started this program over now and I realized I had more anxiety because I kn...

Re: Has anyone else felt like a failure for not finishing th

just pick up where you left off. I love that idea. You could even go back one week, but I'd suggest just starting over. For the Original Poster, could you listen to the sessions and write in our journal and do the workbook while the kids watch tv or play a game in the room? I know mom and kid time ...

Re: Starting Over

I started over 6-7 weeks ago because I stopped using the skills I learned the first time. It doesn't seem as easy, but I'm at a different point in my life so maybe that's why. However, I'm not stopping and I'm going to continue on. I'm on Session 6 and working through that.

Re: Scared to go to work!

Angela, I hope you're doing well too. I posted this elsewhere and maybe it will help someone else, or you since you're still young and will have more interviews in the future. I started telling my self "it's not anxiety, it's excitment!". For example, I would say to myself, "A new job, wow! that is ...

Re: Still have symptoms...

It's been a while, has the symtoms gone away? I went through this program before and after some life changes need it again. I know that for me, it doesn't go away completely. New situations for me bring on a bit of anxiety, but it does for everyone. I started telling my self "it's not anxiety, it's ...

Re: Socializing

I know this is an old post, but I think you did great. Doing this for your daughter is a wonderful thing.
I hope it's still going well for you.
It's hard to socialize and having someone we think is a safe person can help, even though it sometimes puts us in a sticky situation.
